Short but sweet (?) post today kiddies.
Flicked some cards with the Deerhunter on Saturday night. The old 'pride' thing again.
And mine was seriously dented...
Not thru apalling play. But thru every poker player's worst nightmare.
CARD DEATH ......
Bullets once. And that ... was ... it.
Any small pairs never amounted to anything. Any draws never came. Any shoves with crap were dominated. Any raises were re-raised. And because we 'show', I was making good reads and good lay downs. It just never changed. A looooong, loooong period of card death. One of those times when even shoving shit won't work. I won't go on.
In fairness I pegged it back later in the night, but mainly because The Deerhunter got so effed up that he lost his concentration, whereas I play long sessions, smashed up, better.
Dunno if that's a good thing!
Email from C-nut thismornin. He's down this weekend and keen on a larger shuffle. Here's hoping!
